Preventing
Child Tooth Decay – the Easy Way!
Children may need supervision when brushing their teeth, to
make sure they do a good job. But even with good habits, the
grooves in the back teeth may be missed. As plaque forms and
bacteria build up, decay will set in. Any amount of decay
means permanent damage and requires a filling or a crown.
Is there a way to help prevent cavities from setting in?
Yes! One quick and easy application of dental sealants will
help. All the teeth are cleaned and sterilized. A thin
coating is applied to the teeth. It is clear or white and
not visible. To bond the sealant to each tooth, a curing
light is applied. No shots or drills are necessary. All the
natural tooth structure remains in place, and the sealant is
one of the best preventive treatments for both children and
adolescents. It will help them to keep their natural teeth

Wide Range of Sedation Dentistry
We want you to feel relaxed for all and any type of
treatment, and we offer several options. One of them is
intravenous (IV) sedation, referred to as “twilight”
sedation. It ensures you will be relieved of any anxieties
or pain. More work can be accomplished in one visit with IV
sedation.
Another option is oral conscious sedation. One hour before
your treatment, you take a pill that will let you completely
relax but be able to respond to questions, if asked. We will

Russell
E. Graham, DMD, earned his dental degree from
the Oregon Health Sciences University School of
Dentistry after attending the University of Arizona. He
maintains professional membership in the American Dental
Association and the Arizona Dental Association, and
annually enhances his ability to provide his patients
with beautiful, healthy smiles via ongoing education.
Recent training in veneers and dental implants allows
him to incorporate these treatments into his practice to
give you the smile of your dreams.
Dr. Graham is an active participant in the community and
is a member of the Tucson Optimist Club. He and his wife
Laura are very proud of their three adult children, and
in his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golfing,
attending movies, and spending time with his family.
Justin
L. Rider, DDS, obtained his undergraduate
education at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale
and Western Illinois University at Macomb before
receiving his dental degree from the University of
Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Prior to
entering private practice, he served an advanced
education in general dentistry residency at Sheppard Air
Force Base in Texas.
Dr. Rider was also assigned to Tucson Davis Monthan for
three years. His postgraduate education has given him
additional training in IV sedation, oral surgery, wisdom
tooth extractions, dental
implants, and orthodontics. This training allows him to
provide his patients with more comprehensive treatment
options and fewer referrals elsewhere.
Dr. Rider is a volunteer dog walker at the Southern
Arizona Humane Society and further serves the community
by providing dental care at Hopefest. He and his wife
Crystal have a German Shepherd named Bella and look
forward to starting a family in Tucson. In his spare
time, he enjoys doing anything outdoors, including
hiking, camping, swimming, and photography.
